Fortum acquires an additional 6% of the shares in Finnish Gasum Oy thus increasing its stake in the company to 31%.
The shares are bought from a Finnish industrial consortium at a total price of approximately EUR 40 million.
The transaction has been approved by the European Commission and is in line with Fortum's view of gas as a growing energy source in the Nordic power market.
