Finnish capital market regulation

The securities market in Finland is supervised by the Financial Supervisory Authority (FIN-FSA). The principal statute governing the securities market is the Securities Market Act, which contains regulations with respect to company and shareholder disclosure obligations, admission to listing and trading of listed securities, public tender offers and insider dealing, among other things. The Finnish Financial Supervision Authority monitors compliance with these regulations.

The Securities Market Act specifies minimum disclosure requirements for Finnish companies applying for listing on the NASDAQ OMX Helsinki Stock Exchange or making a public offering of securities in Finland.
