Neste Oil has worked with schools for many years. As one of the largest companies in the chemical sector in Finland, we are keen to promote the field and its future. One of the fruits of this collaboration has been the ChemistryLab Gadolin, which offers groups of students from schools, high schools, and colleges the opportunity to experience hands-on chemistry. The aim is to provide an alternative to more theoretical studies and encourage young people to become more interested in the natural sciences and gain a better understanding of the role chemistry plays in our lives.
Borneo Child Aid
Neste Oil has a long-term agreement with the Borneo Child Aid Society, a non-profit organization based in Malaysia. The assistance we provide covers basic education for 265 youngsters annually at schools in Borneo, the majority of whom are the children of families working on local oil palm plantations.
This assistance is intended to support development in key areas of life where local resources are insufficient to guarantee everyone’s wellbeing.
