SportsNeste Oil Rally Finland
The Neste Oil Rally Finland is an FIA World Rally Championship event held in Jyväskylä in Central Finland every August. Neste Oil has been a partner of the event for more than 10 years. The Neste Oil Rally Finland has been a pioneer in the rallying field and has been voted the world’s best organized rally four times. AKK Sport, which organizes the event, shares our belief in the importance of sustainability and aims to ensure that the rally imposes the least possible impact on the surrounding environment. We also share AKK Sport’s conviction that rallying helps promote greener attitudes, not only by encouraging technological developments, but also by shaping consumer attitudes. The successful use of environmentally friendly technology in rally cars makes a lasting impression on spectators and the public at large and helps smooth the way for its wider introduction.
Espoo Blues
The Espoo Blues ice hockey team based in Espoo plays in the Finnish Ice Hockey League and has been sponsored by Neste Oil since summer 2005. Neste Oil and the Blues were also partners in the 1990s. The Espoo Blues are a young, go-ahead team that puts a lot of effort and energy into their juniors as well as their main line-up. The Neste Oil-Espoo Blues partnership also extends to the Association of the University Children’s Hospitals, as Neste Oil donates an agreed sum for every home match goal scored by the Blues to the Association. The latter passes on the money to the Children’s Clinic at Jorvi Hospital to go towards equipment purchases.
Finnish baseball, Superpesis
Finnish baseball is a popular national sport in Finland. The season starts at May and ends with the finals in September. As a Finnish company, supporting one of the country’s most popular national sports and one that is particularly active among the young is a natural choice.
